Presenting the paper “Challenging the norm: technologies, organization and inclusive innovation”


The 6th STS Italia Conference, which aims at offering the opportunity to discuss empirical and theoretical work addressing diverse aspects of the social study of science, technology and innovation from a variety of disciplines and fields, will see the participation of Ms. Chiara Salatin of Confindustria Veneto in order to spread the SMART JUMP Erasmus+ projects and the results so far achieved.

The Conference will be held at the Department of Sociology and Social Research of the University of Trento, November 24 through 26, 2016, by the Italian Society of Science and Technology Studies, in collaboration with the Department of Sociology and Social Research of the University of Trento.

The focal theme of the conference is Sociotechnical Environments and it is articulated in 21 different thematic sessions, focusing on several different topics, including: environmental issues, biomedical settings, robotics and algorithms, communication and digital media, scientific and professional work, design, urban infrastructures and innovation processes at large.

During the 19° thematic session focused on “It’s not All about Numbers: Gendering process in Technologies and Technological Careers”, Chiara Salatin of Confindustria Veneto Siav SpA will present the paper entitled Challenging the norm: technologies, organization and inclusive innovation” written in collaboration with Patrizia Garengo - University of Padua, Department of Industrial Engineering/DII, Padua, Italy and Giovanni Bernardi - Senior Fellow at Academia Patavina.
